Artmaking is how I best communicate.

My work is largely illustrative and doesn’t cater to a concrete theme or issue. Some artists seek out ugliness within beauty, or vice versa - I would say that, along similar lines, my art practice looks for chaos within order. I am drawn to bizarre and fantastical ideas, and enjoy working elements of the human subconscious into otherwise 'normal' scenarios.
I also enjoy painting wildlife and natural scenery.

I am inspired by the works of several great illustrators and animators, particularly Shaun Tan and Don Moore, and find inspiration in the Impressionist and Romanticism movements, and in modern cartoon styles.
